Ghorepani-Poonhill-Ghandruk is one of shortest,easiest and popular tourist destinations around Annapurna region of Nepal.This trek starts from Nayapul,43 kilometers away from Pokhara and ends at Kimche.This trek is considered to be a moderate trail as it has steeped terrain,basic facilities and high elevation.It can be the charming route from beginners to expeienced trekkers.This trek can be performed year round although it is difficult when there is snow and rain on the trials.So,the best time for this trek can be from March to May and September to November.This trek offers you the uniquely village of Magar and Gurung community,outstanding scenery of hills,mountains,flora and founa and views of lush,fertile farmlands.
- Ghorepani : It is the beautiful largest village of Poon Magars and Gurungs in the Annapurna Himalayan range of Nepal.It is considered to be one of the most popular village for trekking in Nepal located at an altitude of 2760 metres above sea level.This village provides excellent views of Himalayan range,experience of local ethnic culture and tradition.Walking through the forest and small settlements of local community is the main feature of Ghorepani trekking.The world's biggest rhododendron forest can be the major attraction for this trekking route.
- Poonhill : Poonhill is the beautiful ridge located to the north of Pokhara.The Poonhill viewpoint can be the dream of several trekkers as one can awaken spiritual feelings in the tranquil Annapurna region.The pleasant sunrise at Poonhill trek passes through culturally rich villages that are set against the backdrop of majestic mountains.Poonhill also offers 360 degree views of several mountains including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.The trail continues through gushing river, forest of blooming rhododendrons and Gurung settlements to Poonhill.
- Ghandruk : Ghandruk is known as the Land of Gurungs located at northwest from Pokhara city.It is one of the popular trekking destination in the Annapurna range of Nepal and also the second biggest village in Annapurna region.It is the entry point to both Annapurna and Machhapuchre mountains.A good model of community based conservation of their culture and tradition is practiced in Ghandruk village.The Gurungs of here are very colourful,happy and flirtatious.The Ghandrukians people are mainly engaged in agriculture,animal husbandry,services in police and military and some in hospitality and tourism to sustain their lives.Ghandruk displays the local traditional food,clothes and equipments of Gurung community.It also has a long stairs of 670 steps leading to the temple with beautiful view in upper most part of Ghandruk.
